Reflection Rob and Jennifer Rice are private pilots who are
anything but private. Since 2000, they have devoted their lives to spreading
the Gospel wherever they travel. But it is where they travel and what they do
that matters most. Relying solely on donations, they provide air
transportation to sick and injured patients in the mountains of Guatemala.
Their organization is named Great Commission Air. Christ gave us the great commission to explain, to
all who will listen, the powerful love that is life with Jesus Christ. Just
before His Ascension, Jesus stood before His followers and empowered them to
go to all nations and spread the good news. From these eleven men, Christians
now number over 2 billion – one third of the world’s population. The Easter season lets us reflect pn Christ’s Passion, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and
Ascension to the right hand of God. The raising up of Christ on the cross
announces His rising into heaven (CCC 662). At His Ascension, Jesus promised
that we would never be alone. Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit will
always work with us and through us to deliver His love, wherever we go.
